This is a tumultuous time in the United States where our economy has suffered significantly in the past few years. We have seen the real estate bubble burst, our stock market suffer, and our debt go up over 10 trillion dollars. There are so many factors that contribute to this downturn that can not be ignored. One of the common trends we have heard about is off-shoring our labor to a cheaper work force outside the United States. This trend started slowly over 10 years ago with big companies like Dell and IBM realizing that developing countries like India offered a large technical workforce that was willing to work for 70% less than what American workers get paid. Well it would make sense that moving their workforce to other countries would save significant money for that company. Fast forward 10 years later there are countless companies that are taking advantage of this model that are based in these developing countries. These countries know that Americans are willing to pay for technical support and they have the workforce to provide it. Unfortunately, many of these companies are sacrificing quality of service and replacing it with cheaper cost. This leaves the consumer with a negative experience wondering “where can I find good online IT support?” Well to answer the question we must look to the roots of technology. Everything from the personal PC to the Internet was pioneered by some of the best minds in the United States starting 30 years ago. The United States built/invented countless quality products and over time these developing countries take that brilliant technology and manufacture it with lower quality for a cheaper price. The quality that was once associated with “Made In America” is hard to find inside our borders today.
We live in a very “disposable” world where Americans are consuming millions of products per year from big name retailers like Walmart and Target. It’s very rare that we stop to look at what we are buying and see what country it was made in. That’s because we have had 30 years of great prosperity and maybe we said “so what my car was made in China, it has cruise control and it’s cheaper than the American car.” But that mentality has caught up to us and now we are suffering for it. Let’s be very clear. We are not saying you should buy products/services that are in the USA because you are from the USA. That is a very nice sentiment but it goes against what our country was founded on. We built this country on capitalism and that is the backbone of liberty and freedom. If another country offers a better/cheaper widget then feel free to buy it. We are saying that innovation and quality must return to where it was founded; the good old USA. This means returning to our roots and offering services and goods that are synonymous with quality, pride, and value.
That’s exactly what we do here at BoxAid.com. We offer online computer support from technicians in the United States by a company that was founded in the United States. We are a small part in a shifting paradigm that says “Don’t buy a service outside the United States because you can get better quality and value right here at home.” Don’t take our word for it. Shop around look at our competitors. Visit their contact page and their about page and see where their offices are located. Check independent review sites and see what their customers are saying. Don’t pick BoxAid.com for your online IT support because we are in the United States. Pick BoxAid because of our quality service and tremendous value.
